This is a good example of Daniel Hechter, one of the popular Paris prêt-a-porter designers. The vivid colors, the large check pattern and the big patch pockets create a youthful impression. Hechter polished up aspects of casual street fashion to transform fashionable daily wear.
After working as a designer for Pierre Dalby, a prêt-a-porter manufacturer in Paris, Hechter opened his boutique in Paris in 1962. He was famous for sporty daily wear inspired from men's clothes and sportswear.
