Since 1979, university programs for museum curators in Japan have required candidates to complete an internship in a museum. Some of KCI's globally recognized accumulation of fashion display technology is imparted to interns, conveying to the next generation the basic knowledge required for organizing fashion exhibitions.
Outreach programs, including lectures and workshops linked with the exhibition, are organized in collaboration with local businesses, schools, and colleges. Intellectually simulating lectures, examining fashion for various perspectives, are regularly scheduled.
