シャネルによる1928年頃のデイ・アンサンブル。
カーディガンの形式を借りた軽快なジャケット、足さばきのよいプリーツ・スカート、伸縮性のあるジャージーのセーター。すべてが機能的な美しさに満ちています。本品は現代の「シャネル・スーツ」につながるガブリエル・シャネルの代表作の一つ。働く女性として身体的な機能性を重視した彼女は、女性服にまつわる従来の常識に囚われることなく、新しいエレガンスを誕生させました。
