3月4日、ハウス・デア・クンスト（ミュンヘン）とKCIの共催展「Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion」展がオープンしました。ロンドン展に引き続き開催された本展は、ヨーロッパ初の大規模な日本ファッション展であり、日独交流150周年記念行事の一つに認定されています。

ハウス・デア・クンスト館長のクリス・デルコン氏は、春からテイト・モダン（ロンドン）館長に就任する敏腕キュレーター。KCIチーフ・キュレーター、深井晃子と共に本展をキュレーションしました。

出展作品はロンドン展同様、ＫＣＩのコレクションを中心とした日本ファッション約110点。ミュンヘン展では今や日本を代表するブランドの一つとなったユニクロと、ドイツ出身のジル・サンダーがコラボレーションする「+J」作品が加わりました。

会場デザインはロンドンに続き、気鋭の建築家、藤本壮介氏。美術館の真っ直ぐな回廊を生かした長いステージに質感の異なるテキスタイルでセクション毎の変化をつけながら、最終章に向ってダイナミックに盛り上げる演出がなされています。

3月2日、3日の二日間に渡ったプレビューには、出展作家の一人、「ミナ・ペルホネン」の皆川明氏を初め、1,200人近くものお客様においで頂きました。
またオープニング・イベントとして、池田亮二氏とカースティン・ニコライ氏による音楽パフォーマンスが行われ、デルコン氏、藤本氏、深井の展覧会スタッフに京都国立近代美術館の前学芸課長、河本信治氏を加えて、日本文化をテーマとしたディスカッションが開催されました。

Exhibition " Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion" at Haus der Kunst.

After the success at the Barbican Art Gallery (Oct. -Jan., 2011), " Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion" toured to Munich. Approx. 130 exhibits mainly from the KCI collection are just on view at Haus der Kunst where Mr. Chris Dercon serves as the Director. He is appointed as new director of Tate Modern, London, from spring of 2011.
" Future Beauty" is the first exhibition in Europe to comprehensively survey avant-garde Japanese fashion from the early 1980s to the present, and is one of the commemorative events to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Germany and Japan.
The exhibition designed by Mr. Sou Fujimoto, an inventive Tokyo-based architect.
It runs till 19th of June, 2011.
